About Me

I was born in 1999 in Scotland, where I was born, raised, and still live.

I have known I want to be a writer since I was nine-years-old – the age I realised books are written and don’t suddenly appear on shelves. That moment was a life-changer for me: oddly, at the age of six, I was already worried about what I was going to spend my life doing. I’ve always adored books, getting lost in another world for a couple of hours was and is how I like to spend my time. So, when I learned to write, and that knowledge was coupled with the fact books are written, I knew what I was going to do.

Since then, I have written just about daily.

Through the highs and the lows, writing has kept me going. That is why I write. I believe words can heal you.

I write in many genres, but my absolute favourite genres would be science-fiction and fantasy. I find the process of inventing worlds to be therapeutic, the process of thinking up characters to be cathartic, and the whole experience of writing to be an escape.

When I’m not writing or reading, I am working towards my university degree (BA [Hons] English Literature and Creative Writing), binge-watching shows on Netflix, listening to music, eating, or going to church.
